most of the hotels requires you to be atleast 18 unless you have someone older to get the room for you. but if you have reservations and credit cards I doubt they will say anything. why would you like to book a hotel alone?
I want to reserve a room at a Marriott Hotel on their website. I searched every corner of the website and no where did I find a guest age limitation at this location.
I searched other Marriott Hotels, and the ones that do have age limits were only specifically for that one hotel, and not for other locations.
I know that to reserve one you need a credit card, which I do have and in my own name. Yet I am only 16 years old.
Is it possible for me to reserve a room online without problems checking in?

I never heard of the age stipulation for booking a hotel room before. I'd think if you had a valid credit card in your name, you should be alright.
Hey, I guess some people just travel alone, right?![]()
YEs, of course you can do that. I used to book and stay at that hotel

Maybe if you go through priceline and reserve your room? I've never had any problem checking in with them. They will require a credit/debit card, but if you have one, I don't think it would matter that you are 16.
I never thought about age limitations... I have stayed at a Marriott once, but I was over 18, so there was no questions or issues of that kind. I would think if you pay online by a credit card, they won't ask for your age, or check it later on.
I think the place where the Marriott Hotel was located has an age policy for hotel reservations. Hotels tend to comply with the law of the place where the hotel is situated. There are even hotels that don't accept persons who are below age 21.
So this means that a Marriott Hotel on a specific place can accept anyone who has a valid credit card wherein they won't consider the age of the owner of the card. While other Marriott Hotels are strict on age policy even if you have a valid credit card.
I doubt very seriously as a 16 year old you will be able to book a hotel anywhere even with a credit card. Is there someone who is of age that can do it for you and you can give the money to?
I dont see how you could have a problem using your credit card so long as it doesnt carry a lot of balances. Your age doesnt show on the card so using it to book a room should be no problem. You already said that Marriot has no age restirctions so should be OK...

Many hotels allow for a debit/credit card, so if it says Visa on it they will run the card. I could see this going either way but honestly I only know of one person who was emancipated and had a similar issue like this. After being able to show proof he was on his own there were no issues.
