Thread: TUI sees holiday bookings recover

The company said bookings in the UK were 3pc higher at March 14 than at the same stage last year, while trading in Germany had improved in the six weeks to March 14. Average selling prices in the UK were also up 9 pc year-on-year.

TUI added that most of it winter season programmes had now been sold and bookings for summer holidays were stronger than a year ago.

"We are encouraged by recent strong trading trends and are confident as we move towards the summer season that we will continue to see strong demand and a recovery in earlier booking patterns," the company said in a statement.
