One of the most important things when you start out on a holiday is to ensure that you are fully packed and have reached the airport in time. Traffic jams and car breakdowns can always delay you and you need to exercise the correct judgment to see that you have enough time on your hand to still not allow such disruptions to make you late for your flight. You would arrive early in case these situations do not arise, but it is better to spend a little time waiting at the airport than to miss your flight and expose yourself to the uncertainty of catching the next flights and also problems that could arise when you finally reach your destination and find that your hotel accommodation has been cancelled because of a ‘no show’. Airlines generally leave a lot of time for checking in (generally 90 minutes).

1) Always take out Travel Insurance well in advance of traveling. The policy will cover you for any medical expenses that you incur should you be involved in an accident or become ill and require hospitalization.
